Santiago Day 3

Today we spent the day at an internet cafe. I am so far behind on my blog its not even funny. It will take me forever to get caught up. But we went to the cafe and did some computer stuff and went to pick up our laundry.

Well, we did the most unthinkable thing that I ever would have thought of. We took the metro and a taxi out to a stadium where there was a Rod Stewart Concert. We did it just for th eheck of it, especially since we didn´t have much else to do. Well, we made it out there and then attempted to buy scallped tickets.

I have never in my life bought scallped tickets, let alone in another language. I knew that we were going to get screwed over. We were talking to the guy, who was a little sleezy. Sarah was supposed to go into the stadium and when I saw that she was in, I was supposed to pay him for both tickets and then go in. I was going to be out $200 bucks and not get to see the concert. I was very skeptical. It worked though. we both made it in. we paid entirely to much for the tickets, but had some great seats.

Unfortunately, unlike the US we could have bought food to bring in and bring our camera. we were close enough that if I had my camera, you would actually be able to tell who it was. So we were a little upset about that. Anyway, Sarah had thought the concert started at 8. She was wrong, it was on April 8th and started at 9. We were there at 6. So we had a long time to wait. We were listening to people around us, who had printed off the words and were practicing. It was so cute to hear the songs with the spanish accent.

Sarah then tried to translate some of his songs into spanish. She should not have attempted. It was rather amusing but...no. It was so much funa dn I could not believe that we were in Chile and decided to go to a Rod Stewart concert. It was jsut weird.
