Easter Island Day 3

Today we had booked a half day tour to part of the island. We had a great breakfast and then were picked up by our tour guide, Alexandra and driver, Chico. We went to the South East side of the island. Alexandra was full of information, and Chico was hillarious always posing for pictures.

We visited a few different sights. We walked up the Rano Kau volcano and crater. We also went to a sight with many fallen over moias. Kelly was leading the way and we broke the law again. We were accidentally walking on one of the fallen heads. OPPS.It wasn´t nearly as nice as the volcano but it was still nice. The volcano was amazing. So beautiful. Next we went to the Aakai Tangata cave that had hyrogliphs of frigate birds. It was a great big cave with an excellent view of the ocean. We watched the violent waves crash onto the rocks just a few feet infront of us.

After the tour, we ate at a roadside hotdog stad. Went back to the hotel and had more beer and played some cards. We went back to our favorite diner spot and watched the sunset with Gloria and Ian , the couple from our hotel and Gert and Connie. It was a fun day. Tomorrow we are getting up really early to watch the sunrise. Gert and Connie have rented a car and we will be touring the island with them. The sun comes up early...
