It was a sad day. We have had a hard life for the past few days. It was time to leave our legacy for the longest guests in Nasca. We woke up, had breakfast and was at the pool. (We had to take advantage because our bus didn´t leave until 2) So we were at the pool for the morning. Sarah had obviously left her mark on the pool guy (who has picked up that I was not that found of him. Counseling is great because I am comfortable with silence, Sarah is not and feels the need to talk to him) Well, he stalked us, her, all day at the pool. My take as him being a creep is proven more. We said our sad goodbyes to Faustino, our bartender and card playing friend then were off to the bus.
On the bus we watched some moer bad movies and played another round of BINGO. I again did not win. Once back in Lima, we had a taxi that took us to the hostal. Well this taxi was a little more expensive because it was a mercedes. The man kept reminding us that we were driving in a mercedes. Sad to him, it was not hte most impressive mercedes. Well a 20 minute taxi ride turned into an hour adventure because the mercedes had obviously never been into the part of Lima that we were staying in. It was very amusing to say the least. I was very greatful once we finally got to the hostal, after 40 extra minutes, 2 stops asking locals and 5 phone calls to Erik trying to get directions.
We are very rested and ready for the race to start. Tomorrow Sarah´s friend Hillary and monther in law, Judy are coming to visit and then in a few days, dad will be here. We are very excited!
